Look at a bunch of CVs and note what catches your eye.
All CVs and cover letters should start by talking about the organization to whom you are submitting your CV to. Why them?
It should always be customized.
Experience and canned phrases are all white noise in a pile of CVs to a recruiter.
So many people are unaware of that.
But as I said, start by looking up a bunch of CVs in your field online. Note what YOU ARE COMPELLED TO READ, and note what you GLEAN.
I don’t ever miss sitting in front of a pile of resumes from students. That is not an uncommon sentiment.
Keep that in mind.
What about design and formatting? Don’t make it look like a lease agreement. Haha
